painting
My art practice is mostly oil painting. Technique wise, I am mostly self taught. I have a fine art degree from the Reading School of Art which focused on development of a conceptual body of work. I was lucky enough to spend a semester at the Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers) learning more traditional painting techniques.
I try and focus on likeness rather than accuracy in my painting (there’s no photo realism here, as you can see!). I enjoy the physicality of working with oil paint, so try and incorporate brush strokes and evidence of my own hand into the style of each piece.
